Protecting The World's Greatest Water

There are few resources in the world, if any, more precious than clean fresh water. Communities fortunate enough to have it must do everything in their power to conserve where they can, and protect the supply for generations to come.
Gibsons Town Council has voted to take the necessary steps to protect and conserve the world's greatest water. The Town has initiated a water supply system upgrade, installing cross-connection control valves and meters on residential homes and requiring commercial and institutional business owners to do the same. This will enable the Town's water system to meet rigorous provincial standards without adding chlorine to the Town water supply.

Neptune Technology Group (Canada) Ltd. has been chosen to complete the project for the Town which will have a total price tag of $1.4-Million, approximately $460,000 of which will be covered by a provincial infrastructure grant. One water meter will be installed per legal residential parcel at the property line. Each single family legal lot will have cross connection and a water meter installed at their property line, while strata properties and duplexes will have one meter installed at the property line of their complex.
