“Gibsons has begun to take positive steps for all residents, especially those of us at the height of our careers, perhaps raising young families, and looking for an opportunity to thrive in a West Coast rural setting. This last term saw a new school, a public market, a night market with cool work-live studios, a craft brewery, a harbour expansion including a floatplane dock, fibre optic service which increases telecommuting options and online business capabilities. These are the types of positive changes I envision for the future under the continued leadership of Mayor Wayne Rowe.”
“It is time for positive politics in Gibsons; the type of leadership that attracts others, including youth, to become involved through our everyday interactions, positive role-modelling and mentoring, and showing the kind of sustainable administration that can be offered by younger leaders ”.
“Leading a community isn’t just about hot-button issues, it’s about long-range planning, collaboration, team work; it’s about working together for a stronger community”.
