Parks and Beaches

Gibsons has 20 parks and civic lands, beach accesses, trails and natural areas for public use and enjoyment. View a map of the Town's parks or beaches and accesses.

White Tower Park is adjacent to the curling rink and aquatic facilities. The trails and ponds located in the natural area provide for nature walks.

Brothers Park is an active community park that serves the whole Sunshine Coast. Organized sports such as baseball and soccer are scheduled in this park, which also houses a regional community recreation facility and a skate park.

Arrowhead Park is named according to its shape and is home to a nature trail, open space, Senior Citizens Hall and Jack & Jill Preschool.

Dougall Park is dedicated as a family space and is home to the tennis courts, covered performance stage, picnic gazebo, tot playground and the Kinsmen Hall.

Winegarden Park is the setting for the waterfront event area. Washrooms and a performance stage are available. Music in the Landing is featured here.

Holland Civic Lands is home to the library, municipal office, museum and health unit.

Pioneer Park features Gibsons’ heritage and is the place where our pioneers were laid to rest. The Chamber of Commerce operates the Gibsons Visitor Centre from this central location.

Beaches:

Along the shoreline of Howe Sound and Georgia Strait are sites for beach access. All of our beach areas are unsupervised. Armours Beach provides for a secure swim area with floats and a washroom. Gibsons has four beaches in its boundaries. View the map of beaches and accesses here.

Please note that all dogs must be on leash and under control when using public lands. An off leash area for friendly dogs is available at the area known as White Tower Park located behind the aquatic facility. Unfriendly dogs must remain on leash and under control at all times. Everyone is responsible for their pet companion, and must clean up any waste that is deposited on public lands (failure to do so is subject to loss of use and a fine for offenders).
