The Finance Department is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, utility billing, tax collections, payroll, financial reporting, managing the Town’s investment portfolio, and banking services.  We also oversee the collection of fees for business licenses, dog licenses and the commercial decal program.

The Department is responsible for preparing budgets, the annual five-year financial plan, and strives to provide timely and accurate financial information to facilitate the decision-making needs of Council, senior management, and external stakeholders.

In addition, this Department is responsible for the Risk Management for the Town which ensures that the financial stability of the Town of Gibsons is protected against the effects of accidental loss.
