COVID-19: Business Resources

Local Resources for Small Businesses

Sunshine Coast Regional Economic Development Organization (SCREDO) and Community Futures Sunshine Coast have launched a Business Recovery Centre at www.scbrc.ca. The recovery centre is intended to be a one-stop online resource for local business owners adapting to new realities in our local markets since the onset of the global pandemic. Some of the resources and supports available include: local bridge financing, revising business plans, interpreting new operating guidelines, reducing commercial rent, exploring alternate sales channels, and succession planning. In addition to the website, staff can be reached by phone at 604-747-4696 or by email at help@scbrc.ca.

Island Coastal Economic Trust is finalizing targeted emergency support service agreements to ensure that much-needed services are delivered by expert resources to support small and medium sized businesses with immediate needs. We will share more information as it becomes available.

Your local financial institution – as most small businesses have a relationship with their local financial institution already, the Canadian government is working with the financial sector to increase their lending capability to support you in in this challenging time. They are a good first place to start for help.
