Advisory Planning Commission
The Advisory Planning Commission has been replaced by the Planning and Development Committee.
The Advisory Planning Commission is a forum for citizen input into the planning process. The Commission consists of seven citizens who make recommendations to Council on the form and character of development permits. Meetings are open to the public. Volunteer members are appointed by Council for a maximum of 2 two-year terms.
Meetings are generally held on the 3rd Friday of the Month at 12:00 pm, in the Town Hall Council Chambers, 474 South Fletcher Road, Gibsons. View agendas here.

Winegarden Park Advisory Committee
The survey to gather input on the Draft Master Plan for Winegarden Park is now closed. The results will be shared with Winegarden Park Advisory Committee and with Council in early 2017. Based on the input the advisory committee will provide recommendations for Council for the adoption of the Master Plan.

Zero Waste Select Committee
At the December 15, 2015 Regular Council meeting of the Town of Gibsons, Resolution 2015-426 was adopted establishing the Zero Waste Select Committee.
The purpose and scope of the Committee was to:
- Make recommendations to Council on specific initiatives that assist the Town in achieving its stated zero waste goals.
- Make recommendations to Council on how to introduce an organics diversion program, including, but not limited to, changes to the garbage collection service frequency.
- Make recommendations to Council on how to engage the community prior to, during and after any changes are considered to the to the overall waste management program.
