Are you Eligible to Vote?
To vote in the Town of Gibsons, you must be:
- a Canadian citizen,
- 18 or older,
- a B.C. resident for the past six months, and
- have lived in the Town of Gibsons for 30 days or more before you register to vote.

General Voting Day:

Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 8 am to 8 pm
By Mail Ballot
Vote by mail is available for the Town of Gibsons 2026 General Local Election.
To vote by mail, complete a Mail Ballot Voting Application. If you qualify, your mail ballot package will be mailed to you or held at Town Hall for pickup. Additional identification or forms may be required.
- September 28: Mail ballot packages begin being mailed and are available for pickup.
- October 6: Last day packages will be mailed.
- October 16 at noon: Final deadline to request a package and pick one up at Town Hall.
