The final step in the Official Community Plan (OCP) and Zoning Bylaw update process was completed at the Council meeting on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, where the Zoning Bylaw was adopted following approval from the Ministry of Transportation and Transit. The OCP was adopted prior to that at the January 6 Council meeting following a public hearing.

Due to a minor change to the Zoning Bylaw, it had to be referred back to MOTT for approval prior to adoption.
