Canada Post strike will affect Town of Gibsons’ mailings to and from residents and businesses
The Town of Gibsons is advising residents and business of anticipated disruptions to Town mailings due to Canada Post’s strike action. Mail will not be processed for the duration of the national strike. A delay of delivery will result for important documents, notices, payments and other correspondence.
Utility Payments due November 18
Cheque payments that are currently in the property of Canada Post and have not been received by the Town on November 18 will be considered late. For any outstanding utility balances as of November 19, daily interest will apply.

Suppliers working with the Town
Please contact the Finance department at finance@gibsons.ca or call 604-886-2274 to set up direct deposit (electronic fund transfer) as a secure and convenient method to receive payment. Vendors unable to set up EFT will be able to pick-up payment cheques directly at Town Hall after the last business day of the month.

Business License Renewals for 2025
Information regarding Business License renewals will be posted by November 22. Please ensure that the Business Licensing department has your email address, email bylaw@gibsons.ca
