Please note that, in most instances, written and email correspondence addressed to Mayor and Council become public documents once received by the City.

Correspondence addressed to Mayor and Council is circulated to Mayor and Council once a week, in the week in which it is received. It is also forwarded to the appropriate division director (e.g. Director of Finance) either for consideration and response to the author, or for information.

A list of correspondence to Mayor and Council is included on regular Council meeting agendas.

Update February 22, 2021: Currently, staff and Council are working to establish a procedure for handling Council correspondence that balances the Town’s available resources and the public’s ability to view the correspondence, if desired. Staff is expected to report to Council on this issue in Q1 2021.
