Heritage Walk

Take the Gibsons Heritage Walk to explore the fascinating working harbour, stroll down the public wharf and along the boardwalk to the vista gazebo. Watch kayakers, sailboats and seals before reaching Molly's Reach, the site of the Beachcombers TV series, and George Gibson's statue in Pioneer Park. Pass the classic homes that line the waterfront and end your stroll at Amours Beach, a wonderful and safe place for a swim.
  1. Winegarden Park is a new addition to the Gibsons waterfront. This was the site of the Le Page glue factory in 1900.
  2. Explore the exciting working harbour complete with barges, fish boats, tugs and float planes. Stroll down the public wharf and along the boardwalk to the vista gazebo. Watch kayakers, sailboats and seals.
  3. Molly's Reach, 1936, the site of the world reknown 'Beachcombers' TV series is now watched over by a statue of George Gibson who claimed Gibsons Landing in 1886. The statue is by the late sculptor Jack Harman.
  4. Discover the rich array of classic homes along the waterfront including the Marina House, dated 1931.
  5. Coles Marina Ways, established in 1947 adds interest to the waterfront. Use caution when crossing the ways.
  6. Amours Beach is a wonderful and safe place for a swim on a warm day.
  7. Heritage Hills is one of the early residential areas in town, The lanes welcome visits from neighbours and provide glimpses into some lovely gardens.
