On September 20, the Town of Gibsons was recognized by the Community Energy Association for its Natural Asset Management as a Climate Adaptation Approach. Town Council and staff proudly accepted the Climate & Energy Action Award during the Union of BC Municipalities convention in Vancouver. The winners were selected from among 25 other nominees throughout BC.

The diversity of actions, the engagement within the community, and the focus on natural ecosystem boundaries were highlights of the application.
