Official Community Plan Update - Town of Gibsons

The Town of Gibsons is updating the Official Community Plan (OCP)

An OCP is a document that outlines the long-term vision and policies for land use, growth, and development within our community. It serves as a framework for making decisions on zoning, infrastructure, housing, environmental protection, and other aspects of community planning.

The current Town of Gibsons OCP was originally adopted in 2005 and last updated in 2015. While many of the policies continue to be relevant, updates are important to ensure the official plan continues to address local priorities and changing community needs.

The Town of Gibsons has begun working on a new OCP update this year. To ensure the updated OCP represents the needs of our diverse community, it will be informed by direct engagement with the community.

Phase 1 was open from October 23, 2024 – November 15, 2024
